Shutdown Procedure – Integrated DC Isolator V/A
This Shutdown Procedure label is intended for photovoltaic systems using an inverter with an integrated DC isolator and includes provision for relevant voltage and current information. It gives electricians, owners and service personnel a fixed reference for the installed shutdown arrangement.
Integrated DC isolator systems
Some solar inverters incorporate the DC isolation function within or directly on the inverter rather than using a separate nearby device. The shutdown instructions should clearly correspond with that equipment configuration so personnel are not directed to an isolator that does not exist.
Voltage and current information
Any V/A values displayed must be taken from the actual system design and commissioning information. Do not copy electrical ratings from another installation, as PV array voltage and current characteristics vary with system configuration.
Confirm the complete sequence
PV equipment can remain energised from the array while exposed to light. Verify the shutdown sequence against the inverter manufacturer's documentation, electrical drawings and installed isolation arrangement before fitting the label.
