Do your reflective safety signs comply with Australian Standards?

Why can I see lines on some reflective signs?

Engineering Grade (Class 100) reflective material has a smooth appearance with no visible prism pattern. Higher-performance prismatic reflective materials, such as Class 400 and Class 1100, contain microscopic prisms that may be visible when viewed up close. This is a normal characteristic of the material and contributes to its increased reflectivity.

Which reflective grade should I choose?

Class 100 is suitable for general commercial and private property signage where good night-time visibility is required. Class 400 (or 400T) provides significantly higher reflectivity and is commonly used for public road signage and traffic management. Class 1100 offers the highest level of retroreflectivity for critical road safety applications including highways, intersections and high-speed environments.

The Access Keep Clear Stencil creates a direct pavement message for areas that must remain unobstructed for vehicle, service, maintenance or emergency access. It combines the purpose of the area with the required behaviour, making it more specific than a general KEEP CLEAR marking.

Typical applications

Useful in front of gates, plant access points, loading areas, service doors, utility equipment, fire-service access routes and other operational locations where parked vehicles, pallets or stored goods could block access.

Reusable construction

The 600 x 400mm stencil is available in polypropylene and PETG variants. Choose the material according to the frequency of use, desired rigidity and the type of surface being marked.

Application guidance

Define the keep-clear zone before painting so the wording is supported by boundary lines, hatching or other markings where appropriate. Position the stencil for the main approach direction and apply compatible floor or pavement paint in light controlled passes.

Operational considerations

Painted wording is most effective when the reason for keeping the area clear is obvious. Where access is critical, combine the marking with upright signage, physical controls or site procedures. At Sign Portal, we understand that sometimes issues may arise with your custom signage orders. As our products are tailored specifically to your requirements, we are unable to offer refunds or exchanges for incorrect orders. However, if your item is found to be faulty or was supplied incorrectly, we are happy to accept returns within 30 days of receipt.

To be eligible for a return, your item must remain unused and in the same condition as when it was delivered. The item should also be in its original packaging.

Please include a receipt or proof of purchase when initiating the return.

Proofing Approval

Prior to production, we provide a digital proof of your design for approval. Once you approve the proof and confirm that the design is correct, we move forward with manufacturing. It is your responsibility to carefully review the proof and ensure all details are accurate, including text, colors, and dimensions. After approval, we cannot be held liable for any mistakes or changes, and refunds will not be issued based on customer errors in the proofing process.

Conditions for Partial Refunds (if applicable)

Refunds or exchanges will not be issued in the following circumstances:

The item is no longer in its original condition, has been damaged, or is missing parts due to reasons not caused by us.
Returns made more than 30 days after the item has been delivered.
