What is the difference between ACM and solid aluminium?

Aluminium Composite Material (ACM), sometimes referred to as ACP, consists of two thin aluminium skins bonded to a polyethylene core. It is lightweight, rigid and widely used throughout the signage industry. Solid aluminium is manufactured from a single sheet of aluminium, making it more impact resistant and better suited to harsh outdoor environments, coastal locations and applications requiring maximum longevity.

Why should I choose reflective safety signs?

Do your reflective safety signs comply with Australian Standards?

Our reflective materials are available in grades manufactured to meet the requirements of AS/NZS 1906.1:2017 for retroreflective materials where applicable. Why can I see lines on some reflective signs?

Engineering Grade (Class 100) reflective material has a smooth appearance with no visible prism pattern. Higher-performance prismatic reflective materials, such as Class 400 and Class 1100, contain microscopic prisms that may be visible when viewed up close. This is a normal characteristic of the material and contributes to its increased reflectivity.

Which reflective grade should I choose?

Class 100 is suitable for general commercial and private property signage where good night-time visibility is required. Class 400 (or 400T) provides significantly higher reflectivity and is commonly used for public road signage and traffic management. Class 1100 offers the highest level of retroreflectivity for critical road safety applications including highways, intersections and high-speed environments.

Can I use any reflective sign on public roads?

The EV Charging Stencil is a reusable pavement-marking template for identifying parking spaces or zones associated with electric vehicle charging. It helps make charger bays easier to recognise and can support clearer separation between EV charging spaces and general parking.

Typical applications

Suitable for commercial car parks, workplaces, shopping centres, accommodation properties, fleet facilities, apartment developments and other sites with installed EV chargers. The marking can be positioned within the bay or on the approach to the charging area depending on the site layout.

Stencil size and materials

The 600 x 600mm stencil is available in reusable polypropylene and PETG variants. The larger format provides good pavement visibility, while thicker sheet options offer extra rigidity for repeated car-park maintenance work.

Application guidance

Clean the pavement and position the stencil so the symbol or wording remains visible to approaching drivers. Apply compatible pavement paint in light controlled passes and allow adequate curing before reopening the bay. Consider colour contrast and surrounding linework so the finished marking is easy to distinguish.

EV bay management

An EV marking does not define charging time limits or parking eligibility by itself. Where the site restricts bays to actively charging vehicles, fleet vehicles or certain users, communicate those conditions through clear upright signage and site policy.

At Sign Portal, we understand that sometimes issues may arise with your custom signage orders. As our products are tailored specifically to your requirements, we are unable to offer refunds or exchanges for incorrect orders. However, if your item is found to be faulty or was supplied incorrectly, we are happy to accept returns within 30 days of receipt.

To be eligible for a return, your item must remain unused and in the same condition as when it was delivered. The item should also be in its original packaging.

Please include a receipt or proof of purchase when initiating the return.

Proofing Approval

Prior to production, we provide a digital proof of your design for approval. Once you approve the proof and confirm that the design is correct, we move forward with manufacturing. It is your responsibility to carefully review the proof and ensure all details are accurate, including text, colors, and dimensions. After approval, we cannot be held liable for any mistakes or changes, and refunds will not be issued based on customer errors in the proofing process.

Conditions for Partial Refunds (if applicable)

Refunds or exchanges will not be issued in the following circumstances:

The item is no longer in its original condition, has been damaged, or is missing parts due to reasons not caused by us.
Returns made more than 30 days after the item has been delivered.
