What is the difference between ACM and solid aluminium?

Solid aluminium is manufactured from a single sheet of aluminium, making it more impact resistant and better suited to harsh outdoor environments, coastal locations and applications requiring maximum longevity.

Why should I choose reflective safety signs?

Do your reflective safety signs comply with Australian Standards?

Why can I see lines on some reflective signs?

Engineering Grade (Class 100) reflective material has a smooth appearance with no visible prism pattern. Higher-performance prismatic reflective materials, such as Class 400 and Class 1100, contain microscopic prisms that may be visible when viewed up close. This is a normal characteristic of the material and contributes to its increased reflectivity.

Which reflective grade should I choose?

Class 100 is suitable for general commercial and private property signage where good night-time visibility is required. Class 400 (or 400T) provides significantly higher reflectivity and is commonly used for public road signage and traffic management. Class 1100 offers the highest level of retroreflectivity for critical road safety applications including highways, intersections and high-speed environments.

Can I use any reflective sign on public roads?

Common applications

Use on waste bays, concrete recycling areas, skip bins, hardstand zones and material-storage locations where concrete must be kept separate from general waste, soil, timber, steel or other streams. Clear markings can help contractors and site personnel identify the correct disposal area quickly.

Material options

The 600 x 400mm stencil is available in reusable polypropylene and PETG. These materials allow repeated marking across multiple containers or areas, with thicker variants providing extra rigidity for commercial use.

Application guidance

Ensure the wording is visible from the normal approach direction. Clean the surface, secure the stencil and apply a compatible coating in light passes. On bins or rough substrates, test the paint and stencil position first because surface texture can affect edge definition.

At Sign Portal, we understand that sometimes issues may arise with your custom signage orders. As our products are tailored specifically to your requirements, we are unable to offer refunds or exchanges for incorrect orders. However, if your item is found to be faulty or was supplied incorrectly, we are happy to accept returns within 30 days of receipt.

To be eligible for a return, your item must remain unused and in the same condition as when it was delivered. The item should also be in its original packaging.

Please include a receipt or proof of purchase when initiating the return.

Proofing Approval

Prior to production, we provide a digital proof of your design for approval. Once you approve the proof and confirm that the design is correct, we move forward with manufacturing. It is your responsibility to carefully review the proof and ensure all details are accurate, including text, colors, and dimensions. After approval, we cannot be held liable for any mistakes or changes, and refunds will not be issued based on customer errors in the proofing process.

Conditions for Partial Refunds (if applicable)

Refunds or exchanges will not be issued in the following circumstances:

The item is no longer in its original condition, has been damaged, or is missing parts due to reasons not caused by us.
Returns made more than 30 days after the item has been delivered.
