Floor signs work when they are exactly where a decision is made and easy to see under real operating conditions — dust, glare, pallet clutter and moving traffic. Where to position floor signs

Floor signs should be installed where they change behaviour — not just where there is spare concrete. Focus on decision points and hazard approaches so operators and pedestrians receive a clear cue with enough time to act safely.

High-value positions typically include:

  • Approaches to intersections and cross-aisles where forklifts must slow or give way.
  • Pedestrian crossings and walkway entries, paired with zebra-style line marking where used.
